Paolo Gaiardelli
Associate professor

He is an Associate Professor at Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering of the University of Bergamo. His research activities mainly focus on organisation and management of after-sales services with a specific interest in automotive and truck industry. Recently, his interests has extended to servitization and Product-Service Systems. He is now involved in studying how to support manufacturing companies in redesigning and optimizing their service operations. In particular, he is working on how the adoption of the lean thinking paradigms can support companies in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of product-service design, development and management, as well as assessing the role of lean management in operations management trends, with reference to its main social, environmental and technological trends.

He is also senior researcher of the ASAP Service Management Forum, an Italian joint industry-academic initiative aiming at promoting the culture and the excellence of service management through research projects, practice, education and technological transfer.
