La valutazione dei fornitori di trasporto

La logistica rappresenta una quota importante dell’economia italiana, con un valore che ha raggiunto nel 2009 i 100 miliardi di euro, pari a circa il 7% del PIL. Anche tra le aziende si sta sempre più diffondendo la consapevolezza del ruolo rilevante rivestito dalla logistica all’interno del proprio business, che viene considerata come uno strumento per il miglioramento della qualità del servizio offerto ed un elemento di differenziazione competitiva.

In questo contesto, la selezione ed il monitoraggio dei fornitori di servizi di trasporto assumono un ruolo fondamentale nell’incrementare la qualità ed il livello di servizio percepiti dai clienti finali. Per questo motivo, il Centro di Ricerca sulla Logistica e i Servizi Post-Vendita, all’interno dell’iniziativa del Tavolo di Lavoro sulla Logistica, ha avviato una ricerca sui criteri di qualifica, selezione e monitoraggio dei fornitori dei servizi di trasporto. L’obiettivo dell’indagine è di analizzare il livello di outsourcing dei trasporti, le relazioni instaurate con i fornitori di trasporto e le modalità di selezione e di monitoraggio delle prestazioni degli stessi.

Il questionario è rivolto a tutte le aziende che usufruiscono di servizi di trasporto effettuati da terzi (outsourcing) ed è strutturato nel seguente modo:

– informazioni generali sull’azienda

– informazioni sul trasporto merci

– informazioni sul trasporto stradale

– criteri di qualifica e selezione dei fornitori di servizi di trasporto stradale

– monitoraggio dei fornitori di servizio di trasporto stradale

– informazioni di contatto

La compilazione del questionario on-line richiede circa 10 minuti. Tutti coloro che avranno risposto al questionario potranno richiedere una copia elettronica del report di sintesi dei risultati, lasciando il proprio indirizzo mail al termine della survey.

Logistics Roundtable (Tavolo di Lavoro sulla Logistica)

The Logistics Roundtable (Tavolo di Lavoro sulla Logistica) is an initiative established by CELS to set up a consortium of companies, coordinated by an academic team, that aims at developing research, projects and know-how in the logistics and supply chain management fields.

Main objectives are to:

contribute to increase knowledge and competences on logistics and supply chain management;
promote communication and technological transfer between academics and industrial companies facilitating the exchange of ideas, initiatives, and research topics;
encourage communication between companies;
develop research activities and disseminate results at national and international level.

Research activities in 2011 focus on transportation service providers with particular reference to the following topics:

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate transportation suppliers;
Vendor evaluation and selection.

Case studies, survey and seminars will be carried out to conduct research.

Promoted by the Bergamo Manufacturers’ Association (Confindustria Bergamo), INTELLIMECH is a private-led applied research center established in the KilometroRosso Science and Technology Park, whose role is to act as a benchmark for innovative-led enterprises and science institutes in the Italian research panorama. The consortium is made of 26 companies operating in different industrial sectors, ranging from process industry (e.g. steel making, chemical plants) to manufacturing and assembly (e.g. braking systems, tractors, industrial excavators, vending machines, electric equipment), as well as multi-utility companies. The distinctive characteristic of the Consortium resides on the variety of involved companies, thus inputting into the research activity peculiar needs and expectations. Though being a potential limit in the first stage of the research activity (since a common background, terminology and understanding of needs was lacking), this heterogeneity can hopefully contribute to the development of more general innovative approaches in the long-term. PROPHET projects described in Research Project Area is developed within the Consortium.

Reference point for the innovation and promotion of logistics activities in the textile industry.

TexLog activites are performed in the facilities of the Textile Technological Lab “A.J. Zaninoni” of the Engineering Department of the University of Bergamo, established in 2004 with the support of the industrial community of the county of Bergamo.

Within TexLog, several activities about logistics, plant designs and operations management in textile industry have been conducted in the last 5 years. In particular, a specific competence on tracking and tracing technologies has been developed and deployed in several industrial experiences as well as in some reseach projects (e.g. TAGGIE).
