Education and past experiences 

Vittorio graduated in 2015 in Management Engineering with a master thesis on Additive Manufacturing at Università degli Studi di Bergamo. He has been a research assistant since then. His research activities gravitate around distributed production paradigms, pertaining supply chain configuration and Key Enabling Technologies (KETs).

INNOVARE LA MANUTENZIONE NELL’ERA DELL’INDUSTRIA 4.0: OPPORTUNITA’, CRITICITA’ E SOLUZIONI

Quali sono le soluzioni tecnologiche disponibili per innovare i sistemi di manutenzione nelle aziende industriali e dei servizi? Quali sono e saranno le nuove competenze richieste allo specialista di manutenzione? Quale sarà l’impatto sulla manutenzione derivante da una digitalizzazione e automazione spinta, così come evocata dal modello Industria 4.0?

Grazie al confronto tra diverse realtà aziendali, il convegno si pone lo scopo di discutere e approfondire il ruolo delle applicazioni di automazione e di information technology volte a rendere maggiormente efficienti i processi manutentivi al fine di garantire una maggiore sicurezza, una miglior efficienza energetica e un minor impatto ambientale delle attività produttive. Il convegno vedrà la partecipazione di esponenti di rilievo sia del mondo Universitario che di alcune importanti realtà industriali e di servizi a rete. A conclusione del convegno è prevista la cerimonia di consegna dei diplomi della IX e X edizione del master MeGMI in Gestione della Manutenzione industriale, promosso congiuntamente dal MIP Politecnico di Milano e dalla SdM dell’Università degli Studi di Bergamo.

Vision

The Diversity project aims at developing an engineering environment able to support European small and medium sized companies that are changing their business model by extending their products offering with services (PSS – Product Service System) and by adopting the new mass-customization paradigm, which represents the trend towards the production of highly customized product-services. To allow a successfully transition, companies need to involve their customers and all the other significant stakeholders since the first phases of the design process and provide them with the ability to co-design product-service(s).

Therefore, the project proposes to meet the requirements of manufacturing enterprises to allow for effective product/service design and engineering by a proper combination of classical product engineering tools, cloud manufacturing and social software solutions.

Benefits

Diversity aims to provide benefits for industrial companies on both short and long term. On the short term, the companies will receive an innovative engineering environment and a set of methods/tools to support the concurrent collaborative design of product-service (PSS) based on the knowledge captured and shared across the value chain actors and the PSS life cycle. On the long term, the functionalities of the tools will be applicable to build different product-service solutions and collaborations within Extended Enterprise, opening new business opportunities and making manufacturing industry less prone to failure.

Product-Service Systems across Life Cycle

Scope

Theoretical and practical experiences show that transition towards Industrial Product-Service System pushes organizations to change their strategies, operations and value chains, technologies, people expertise and system integration capabilities. Innovative knowledge intensive solutions, business and societal value creation from expertise in varied domains, new solutions design, development and delivery throughout the product lifecycle are the key driver to promote a competitive advantage in the long term.

As a consequence, different competences and multidisciplinary approaches are requested to have a complete understanding of the IPSS (Industrial Product-Service System) and PSS (Product-Service System) phenomena. The aim of the IPSS 2016 (Product-Service Systems across Life Cycle) conference is to promote new knowledge in the Product- Service Systems field along its life cycle phases and facilitate its dissemination among academics and practitioners.
