This project is carried out in a company realizing heating and cooling plants in industrial buildings. Each construction job order involves hundreds of items of diverse sizes (from nuts and bolts to complex subsystems). Part of these items are managed at the company’s warehouse (on a stock basis), while others are managed on a per-order basis (bought only when required).
The project aims at:
- Identifying the proper management policy for different item classes.
- Establishing the average items consumption rates and the items commonality in the different types of construction job orders.
- Assessing the impact of items commonality on stock level.
Project in collaboration with Termigas – Impianti Tecnologici.
